I've had my program for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that making use of improved quality batteries than those provided will mean altering them closer to as soon as a year. Not poor at all, offered that I don't have to run any wires to these places.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they appear somewhat tacky in my opinion. Instead, I got a couple added motion detectors to provide complete coverage of my house. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do pick up my 4 pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I haven't had any false alarms exactly where I could not identify the trigger. There have been a number of days where I forgot to disengage the process and walked suitable via the motion detection field. Undoubtedly, I cannot blame that on the method.
Overall, I'd say this is an wonderful program for the value. The manage pad looks kinda cheap, so I did not prominently display it in my residence. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are rather small and unobtrusive. I've told family members and buddies that I have the alarm program and most of them did not have any idea, as the detectors blend in pretty nicely.
Hi everybody, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine 2 days ago. I set it up yesterday. Because the program comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only factor i had to adjust was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been adequate for me as that issue is as sharp as a needle. Given that i have no pets and no youngsters i have mine on high and it's amazing. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing about with but they're operating fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode considering that the siren is exceptionally loud, my ears had been ringing all night just after i had tested it. Nonetheless i have excellent comfort realizing i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i feel i'm in danger. It is so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am pretty pleased with the system. I am told this a newer model, i am not very sure how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anybody could tell me the difference that would be awesome. All in all i am really pleased with the technique and i am giving it four stars simply because of how sharp the motion sensor is and since the siren is incredibly loud. I sleep properly at night....fairly properly.
